Programs We Offer

The ERSRC offers a variety of programs for individuals of all ages living in the eastern part of Prince Edward Island.

Active Start                                                                                                                  
The Active Start Program will help children ages 2-6 enjoy physical acitivity, learn to move efficiently and improve coordination and balance. In this program children work on their gross motor skills and funamental movement skills doing such activities as jumping, running, throwing, etc. 

Active Start - Sport
Just like our Active Start program, this program is geared towards developing fundamental movement skills, but it takes place in a sport environment. We partner with Provincial Sporting Organizations to introduce new sports to children ages 2-6, allow them to learn about the sport, and work on very basic skills.

go!Play Program
The go!Play program is a free program for children attending elementary schools in the eastern region. The goal of the program is to provide a safe, non-competitive environment so that children in grades K-6 can have fun and be active. 

go!PEI Programs
go!PEI is a healthy living initiative that offers free physical activity and healthy eating programs for residents across PEI. Go!PEI is designed around providing information and support to assist all islanders to make simple changes to their lifestyle to improve their overall health and quality of life. The ERSRC partners with go!PEI to deliver programs such as; Learn 2 Run, Cooking Classes, Walking for Wellness, go!Seniors Active, go!Seniors Lifestyles, Snow Shoeing, Hiking Series, Hip Hop dance, Biking, and much more!

Sport Development
We offer a variety of "Come Try" sporting events throughout the eastern region of PEI. The ERSRC partners with various Provincial Sporting Organizations to offer programs such as; multi-sport programs, Come Try Rugby, Come Try Cross Country Skiing, Kids of Steel, Flag Football, Rocks for Tots, Karate, Learn 2 Skates, Push Bike programs, and many more!
