The Credit Unions of Western PEI Amateur Sport Fund
Funded by the Tignish and Évangéline-Central Credit Unions, this program is designed to assist high performance amateur athletes living in the Western Region. It was established as a result of the challenges athletes from this region face such as: travel, time, training facilities, coaching and expertise.

Guidelines and Application Form 

For the Kids Active Fund
This fund was developed by the Western Region Sport & Recreation Council and enables youth who are experiencing financial and/or social barriers to participate in programs and activities that promote a healthy active lifestyle. This fund encompasses sport, recreation and physical activities and includes youth under the age of 19.
The fund can be accessed through the professional community who works directly with children and their families and have an understanding of the financial and/or social barriers each family experiences. Examples of the professional community include: school counsellor, social worker, recreation director, clergy, principal, etc.
